The Mutual of Omaha Individual Disability plan is intended to provide this financial buffer and save you and your family from worrying while you are unable to work. This individual disability insurance plan is available in four choices:
Short-Term Accident
This disability insurance plan covers injuries not included under workmen's compensation. Under this you are entitled to a maximum of $5,000 in monthly benefits for 3, 6, 12, or 24 months depending on the premiums you choose to pay.
Short-Term Accident/Sickness
In addition to injuries sustained from an accident, this policy also covers contracted illnesses that prevent you from working. Benefits received are identical to those of the Short-Term Accident Only.
Long-Term Accident/Sickness
This policy offers a longer benefit period for injuries and illnesses that keep you from gainful work. Such periods could be 2, 5, or 10 years, and even up to age 67.
Business operating expenses
This policy pays for the business operating expenses of your company should you be unable to work.
